Anna Maginness

“Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness.”

Anna is a level 2 APMA qualified instructor and founder of the Pilates on 88 Bay Studio. She is a proud and positive Pilates Instructor who loves being able to assist people in building a pain-free, healthy and happy life.

Anna began her healthcare journey as a registered nurse at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. With a committed and keen interest in fitness, Anna eventually discovered Pilates and became dedicated to studying its practice.

With four children, Anna found Pilates to be unsurpassable in helping her body recover from each pregnancy and to maintain her range of movement, muscular strength, stamina and correct posture. Pilates also helped her feel rejuvenated, balanced and with an enhanced sense of wellbeing.

As her children got older, she decided to share her love of pilates with others and trained to become a Pilates Instructor via the Empathy Pilates Instructors training course.

Anna’s Pilates expertise has since been honed by her many years of client experience as well as her regular study, workshops and self-development.

An experienced and passionate Pilates instructor, Anna opened Pilates on 88 Bay with the mission to actively improve the quality of life of each and every client.
